Stock Selection List on 12-Nov-20

Since mid of August, I have started doing this as a study so the readers of this blog can learn along with me. I am also giving valuable list of stocks for quick profit. If anyone bought Kiriindus and Trent on the morning of 25th August as they showed up in 24th August list, they would have gotten a profit of 4-6% by evening.

I got inspired for this selection when I once noticed Indigo on daily chart and next day bought its CE at 9 and sold at 18 after few hours. Later traded TNPL, INFIBEAM, DIAMONDYD, JOCIL, BLISSGVS, ATULAUTO, during mid weeks of August and booked about 5% profit in a short time. Every stock may not rise the very next day. But I observed the potential for a rise in the next 10 days, on few stocks over a historical period of five years. Thus I decided to make such list everyday and trade familiar stocks or observe them for building trading watchlists to grow familiarity to trade later.

The first list is good for finding stocks that have just started rising and so there is room for more rise in the immediate future. They can also give second chance to exit if market is not in good shape.

The second list is good for finding stocks that you are already holding or familiar with to hold for some more time and exit partially after a big single day rise. A stock shows up repeatedly in second list to give you chances to prepare partially unload the stocks.

The third list is to catch good stocks when they are falling. But it can be risky. So some fundamental screening is mandatorily required, otherwise they may not give second chance to exit, unlike the first list. If you already know some good stocks and they show up in the third list, it could be opportunity to accumulate them.

Commentary:

I am sorry, not able to list the good stocks from these lists. As there is no hurry to jump into these, one can do little more checks on these before picking any stock.

The idea of the third is that, one can plan a little longer timeframe trade for the stocks to turn from negative sentiment to positive as that leads to much bigger gains than jump into a stock that has already made some move. But probabilities here will be stacked against making profit, as we might end up in some stock that is in long term downtrend. If we already know some stocks in these lists and can expect the fall to be due to temporary news events or overreactions or only profit bookings, or the stock has good fundamentals and can recover eventually, starting SIP into those will be good idea.

Blog Update

I have stopped updating this blog for a week now. The stocks I have started filtering as good ones from the daily lists, are proving to be good opportunities for short term trading and occasionally some of them are turning into large gain opportunities.

So the whole exercise of filtering daily short term lists has proved to yield good results. But second level of filtering manually those few good stocks from the lists, is taking huge time. As we learned from the performance review posts, that buying these on pullback has good chances for profit, so one need not find the stocks every day.

I will post the lists once or twice a week at one time. Batching improves productivity. However I will separate the lists as per the date found for helping tracking. Not doing this daily, I am also missing potential stocks. Since three weeks, my watchlist has grown so much, I thought there is no need for more stocks. As I see daily, the good stocks filtered in these posts are moving steadily. Falling little by little, suddenly rising a lot.

Using some fundamental analysis and chart study, good stocks could be found from these lists. So I will continue posting all the daily lists once in 3 or 5 days.

This also frees up time for me to post strategies and concepts. The daily posts are taking up my energy which otherwise I could also focus on long term posts for this blog.

Some trades these days:

After my trades with Redington, GPPL, I bought Amber and TIPSINDLTD. Also bought VGUARD. Two weeks passed for vguard but forgot to sell it. If two weeks pass without movement, then holding it is only when we are expecting it for long term trading. There is no need to hold as there is no lack of stocks to find nor do I make long term trading plan only by finding stocks in this list. Long term trading requires intuition because holding a stock for long term means, you expect that it will recover due to change in news in the future.

Amber fell, TIPSINDLTD fell. But I missed to add more as I recently started finding day trading stocks for my youtube channel that I just created on this year Vijaya Dashami (Dasara) festival day. As I don't have much viewers, there is no point in spending time for that. That also takes more time as I don't have automation for that task. So I have put a hold on that too.

Meanwhile second buy opportunity in these two stocks is missed and they just recovered to little profit. No problem. Can close these with some profit and focus on new stocks. Also traded Somanycera but closed quickly. It went up in the last two trading days.
