Note:

While NIFTY dragged the market this day the small cap put up a fight but closed flat. Broader market did better. Maybe it is expiry as the FnO trades are set a limit to the range for this month. If there was enough steam, it could have overwhelmed FnO forced limits and closed positive. So next month Nifty range could get updated so it doesn't face this resistance as we can see broader market is resilient. But how long? As long as a new hammer comes around to hammer the market.

Note:

Inline with indices behavior, today small cap index jumped for yet another day and a big one this time. Yesterday wise-trader channel on youtube put up a live 2.5hr video with title of "market to fall tomorrow". I avoided seeing the video. Youtube suggested this in my feeds because recently I checked what this channel is upto these days as market started falling after a long time. He has been calling for big fall in markets from a long long time, even after covid meltdown. There is no dearth of doomsayers, I realized it since 2011 when the 2008-9 financial meltdown had a big impact on my psychology back then. Also this channel has something against the batch of traders started from covid lockdown times, as if he cannot accept if they don't learn the hard way or from his channel.

But see the news today about Adani group. Adani stocks jumped today. In the bribery case filed in US, the names of those who took bribe were not mentioned. What? Then what is the allegation? So someone can file some case alleging something in US, and if news outlets publish that as news, then we can shake the market? But we didn't shake it as much this time. Some people in the west look down upon people in Bharat, thinking we are still into cheap bribery. Small companies may be still there. But we too have advanced to lobbying style like those in the US. Isn't it? It may not be apparent. That is why each time, Adani group comes out clean. Next time they should learn from their own place on how to implicate a company in fraud with proper evidence. Then the shaking can work. Until then good luck, as i believe there is quite sometime for that.

Meanwhile there is an estimation that Adani group will reach USD $1Trillion market cap by the end of this decade (actually 2028). I saw that on some page earlier but didn't save the link.

What happens the next day is not important. Some people learned to manage whatever happens. But after some point, they feel like talking whatever thought comes under the Sun, maybe in a state of euphoria. We need to learn how to manage situations and not bother about these prophecies.

Due to landslide victory of BJP allied coalition in Maharashtra elections results on Saturday, the markets jumped even before the open today. Looks like there isn't much steam after that so they stayed there trading in a not-so-narrow range through the day. Markets in real time can present confusing situations. Ultimately it presents as a one dimensional movement, up or down. Accordingly we need to be prepared for managing the reality as cycles keeping coming and going.

Stock Selection List from 22-Nov-24

The daily lists are good for finding stocks that have just started rising and so there is room for more rise in the immediate future. They can also give second chance to exit if market is not in good shape. As proven time and again, these also help finding stocks early on before they take off. Some examples of that are Justdial (120%), Somanycera (200%), Adanigas (350%), CGCL (150%), Saregama (300%), Prajind (300%), etc.

Important note: No stock goes up a lot without first showing up in either of the two lists here.

Note:

Today Nifty lead to become top gainer whereas mid and small cap indices lagged and so the broader market. It is clear now we are in uncertain territory where market upmoves are uncertain but down moves aren't easy on any negative news unlike a major meltdown. It is in downward trend, by coming down fast to new lows after a brief pause. As it is near long term moving averages, it might pause for a while with bulls and bears fighting for their dominance.

The small cap stocks and broader market are lagging the upmove. They might follow-up if nifty continues to go up or continue to lag behind. Today's dlist1 is also less than 10, coinciding with broader market lag.

Of the few stocks I mentioned yesterday, today PIXTRANS jumped by 9%. EKC is in dlist2 today. There is also SUPRIYA which I didn't notice, but it is not affected by this downtrend and jumped by 14% to new high today. When some stocks are doing like that, the bearishness is not strong. Focusing on finding stocks like SUPRIYA, PIXTRANS for SIP would be better idea now, before they become relative gainers in the future.

Note:

The market is in downtrend so it finds it difficult to rise with each rise getting hammered. It could as well go down and make newer lows. Then only it finds support to make jumps. That is why dlist1 isn't getting more than 10 stocks these days, despite having made a low recently. There is lot of fight between bulls and bears today (volatility). Some stocks like NIITLTD, EKC, DIVISLAB, PIXTRANS, STERTOOLS, JASH are coming out as relative gainers. Looks like they have more upside potential.
