Note:

Finally the market gave in to the selling pressure. For the last few days nifty, mid and small cap indices kept falling by same %. But today broader market fell the most and nifty fell the least. Suddenly it appears that people are expecting more fall ahead. The China stimulus could have happened at any time. It was clear that the last one year's strong growth here was due to bad luck in Chinese economy. We could expect that once it gets better our companies quarterly results will get affected, which pulls down the stock prices. It is more worrisome than the middle east war which could lead to raise in rates due to rise in oil prices. The latter prospect less probable. Hence we need to focus on relative gainer stocks.

Note:

The market finally budged because of the war. Today markets opened with greater than 1% fall and quickly jumped to less than 1% fall but continued to slowly fall back to the lows and breached them after 1pm. Then continued to fall till about 3pm and did partial bounce back by eod registering a 2% fall by the day. Large cap, mid cap and small cap indices fell the same. Usually small cap would have fallen 4% in such case. But the war has not ended. So dynamically as situation unfolds, markets could fall further or recover. This time oil price rise might impact the markets.

Note:
I am thinking about studying performance relative gainer stocks and put up those lists once in two weeks or a month. Once I am done with some analysis, I will start that if that proves to give more return. It also saves time to focus on a list over longer period than daily list. However daily list still helps to stay in touch with the rhythm of the market without spending much time on it.
